Strange lights
6/24/1998
Between Marfa and Alpine in Southwestern Texas tourists can see an
unexplainable light phenomenon. When the sun has gone down the glowing, melon sized, sphere appears at the foot of Chinati Mountain.
It swings back and forth and rises up in the sky, melts down, splits up or goes down towards the ground again.
The spheres appear in different colors - green, yellow and orange -
and in different light. Noone has yet been able to explain the phenomenon, but they know that it has been there for a long time. The first settlers, and even the indians, knew about the phenomenon.
